– Content: The course explores presidential elections from a historical perspective through five case studies. It narrates the story of significant campaigns in US history and investigates how politics has evolved over time, as well as how an understanding of the past casts light on current campaigns. From the emergence of “dirty politics” to the impact of the “digital revolution,” the course considers the historical context of several key phenomena that shaped the contentious 2016 campaign.

– Content: These videos are part of a three-week course in the lead-up to the 2014 Scottish independence referendum. The course aims to assist learners in engaging with the debate as it unfolds, contributing critically and constructively to the arguments of both sides and other learners, and benefiting from the insights of leading scholars.

– Content: This is a collection of open-licensed presentations and posters from the Open Research Conference Edinburgh 2022. The university’s library research support team and the Edinburgh ReproducibiliTea and Edinburgh Open Research Initiative (EORI) grassroots organisations collaborated to launch the first Open Research Conference Edinburgh. The conference was held at the John McIntyre Conference Centre and online on 27th May 2022.

This leaflet features a foreword by Dr Melissa Highton and includes information about our award-winning open policies, community engagement activities, and our commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. It also contains case studies on student involvement and OER in the curriculum from across the University, alongside a timeline of significant events and developments in open education.
