9. SDG4 ELDeR – Edinburgh Learning Design Roadmap

– Content: The Edinburgh Learning Design Roadmap (ELDeR), created in 2016, is a practical, group-based approach to learning design, based on the CAIeRO approach of the University of Northampton. ELDeR also incorporates elements of other learning design approaches and tools, including the Open University’s Teaching Program Features, the University of Ulster’s Perspective Toolkit, and the ABC method of University College London.

12. SDG4 Open for Good: 10 years of open course development at Edinburgh University

– Content: Sharing the story of how the University of Edinburgh has developed a process to create open courses that allow for the sharing of 100 free short-term open courses and over 1000 OERs in the past 10 years.

– Content: This course provides you with the opportunity to complete practical activities on location and scriptwriting, understand licensing and sourcing assets, how to set up and use available technology such as mobile phones for filming, and how to use free editing software.

16. SDG4 Wikipeda editing video tutorials

– Content: A collection of instructional videos on how to edit Wikipedia, from drafting, editing, publishing, and group exercises. Created by Ewan McAndrew, Wikimedian in Residence at the University of Edinburgh.

– Content: Includes instructional videos on ‘how’ and ‘why’ analysis of Wikipedia to make knowledge sharing open and accessible, thereby increasing the diversity of contributors to Wikipedia and the diversity of content shared online.

18. SDG4 Wikimedia in Education case studies

– Content: A collection of typical studies from across the United Kingdom aimed at providing detailed information on the use of Wikimedia projects in education. Among the 14 examples, 13 are related to higher education and one is related to secondary education.

19. SDG4 Wikipedia training lesson plan

– Content: This plan provides an introduction to the Wikipedia universe, how to navigate the Wikipedia homepage and articles, how to set up a Wikipedia user page, and how to create and edit content (formatting, links, images, lists, citations, infoboxes, etc.) using the new visual editor.

20. SDG4 3 case studies of Wikipedia in the curriculum

– Content: The presentation at the Digital Skills Festival of the University of Edinburgh took place on May 30, 2022. This session showcased examples of how the staff and students at the University of Edinburgh have engaged and been encouraged when researching and publishing their scholarships online in practical applications to their teaching and learning: Case study 1: Bachelor’s program in Reproductive Biology; Research situation 2: University training program on Art History; Research situation 3: Global health challenge Online program.
