3. SDG11 Sustainable Champions Gathering 2021

– Content: The event includes what Sustainability Champions are, opportunities for training and development, and information about the action campaign workshop. The guest speaker is climate activist and zero waste advocate, Laura Young (Less Waste Laura), who will participate in the event and share how she is pursuing a climate-conscious lifestyle and how others can do the same.

4. SDG12 ‘Fragments of Asbestos-Cement, 1940 to 2040′ + ”Architecture of the Aftermath’ | ESALA Frictions Lecture

– Content:  The content of the ESALA public lecture series (Edinburgh School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture) 2021-22 focuses on two interconnected themes: Community and Climate Crisis. This lecture series reflects the climate emergency, linking environmental pollution with issues of colonialism, racism, forced migration, and systems of injustice.

5. SDG12 Using Climate Data in Financial Decision Making

– Content: In this open licensed seminar from the Centre for Data, Culture & Society, Matthew Brander and Atreya Dey (both from the University of Edinburgh) present two papers discussing the use of climate data in financial decision-making.

6. SDG12 Learning for a Sustainable Future

– Content: This 5-week MOOC course will explore the environmental education movement, encompassing education for sustainable development and global citizenship, the interconnected nature of sustainable development issues, and efforts to address these problems at both national and international levels through the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). The course includes an additional module aimed at those working in formal or informal education who wish to apply some of the activities and issues discussed in the course to their teaching.

7. SDG12 Learning for a Sustainable Future: Live at COP26

– Content: The two-week course, held in parallel with the COP26 (26th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change), offers an opportunity to explore what COP26 is, why this conference and similar future events are significant, and to reflect on how you can advocate for collective action towards a sustainable future.
